On Day 1, you can either meet Dan in Quito or Eric in Mindo. Simply let us know your preference and we will accommodate you. If your schedule is different from the rest of the group, we can send a trusted taxi to pick you up. Ideally, we want to be in Mindo no later than 5pm so that we can have dinner and get organized for a night walk, so that means leaving Quito no later than 3pm.

On Day 2, we plan to leave Mindo around 9:00am to travel to the Chocó Rainforest, one of the world's most biodiverse areas. There are various mid-range lodges in this region that provide great food and lodging, but generally no activities. Herping will be our primary activity, but we can also look for other wildlife including monkeys and birds. We will stay here for 4 incredible nights.

On Day 6, we plan to leave the Chocó Rainforest around 10:00am and travel back to Mindo for one last night hike.

On Day 7, you can either choose to stay in Mindo, a wonderful tourist town in the cloudforest, or we can travel to Quito together and say our goodbyes there instead. Anybody who signs up for our December 1 adventure can enjoy one night in the city with us to rest up before we depart for the Amazon the next day. We offer a $300 discount for each person that signs up for both adventures.
